To celebrate the Auspicious Occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya’s Birthday on 8th January 2022, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra and Music Director maestro Michel Tilkin will start the New Year’s musical calendar in joyous, optimistic fashion with a wonderful programme of all French music. With masterworks selected by HRH the Princess herself, Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel are two of France’s most celebrated composers, both possessed of an incredible genius for sophisticated harmonic invention, combined with a seemingly inexhaustible propensity for ravishingly beautiful orchestral colour. The German virtuoso pianist Sara Ott makes her first welcome appearance in Thailand, performing the unique Left Hand Piano Concerto in D major by Ravel.
